What is toon sauce?
Toon sauce is a popular Chinese and Southeast Asian sauce made of leaves from Chinese Toon Trees (also known as Toona Sinensis, Chinese Mahogany, Chinese Cedar, and Beef and Onion Plant). The young, soft leaves from Chinese Toon Trees are used as vegetables/herbs and have a savory flavor reminiscent of beef and onions. With the addition of mushrooms, our Vegan Mushroom Toon Sauce brings an extra bold layer of umami to all of your dishes.

A great vegetarian stir-fry sauce. I like it better than the shiitake mushroom-based mock oyster sauce, not as salty and full of umami goodness.
Ok, maybe not everything but MAN does it jazz up pasta, rice, even kraft mac n cheese! My gen x latchkey kid loves mixing up whatever I find in the kitchen and this stuff is so good it's becoming a staple. Even if you don't like mushrooms, try this! I don't taste any mushrooms at all, just a savory/sweet umami goodness that is so good it makes me do that fat kid happy dance while I'm eating. Well done! (also? I'm not even vegetarian. This stuff pleases my meat-eating palate)
Beware, it is delicious, and you will put it on everything. So good, it adds a depth of flavor to all my plant-based bowls. Excellent shipping and packaging too.
