What is toon sauce?

Toon sauce is a popular Chinese and Southeast Asian sauce made of leaves from Chinese Toon Trees (also known as Toona Sinensis, Chinese Mahogany, Chinese Cedar, and Beef and Onion Plant). The young, soft leaves from Chinese Toon Trees are used as vegetables/herbs and have a savory flavor reminiscent of beef and onions. With the addition of mushrooms, our Vegan Mushroom Toon Sauce brings an extra bold layer of umami to all of your dishes.

Soybean Oil, Sugar, Soy Protein (Non-GMO), Soybean paste (Black beans soy sauce), Mushroom, Salt, Chinese Cedar, Sweetener (DL Pear Alcohol 70%), Sesame, DL-Sodium Malate, 5'-Hypoxanthine Nuclear Dibasic Sodium Phosphate, 5'-Suboriginal Nuclear Dibasic Phosphate Sodium, Di-Sodium Succinate, DL-Alanyl Propionic Acid and Liquorice Powder

Spilled in container

Never got to try cause the entire jar was empty. Lid came lose during shipping. I won’t take a risk and order again

We have already sent out a replacement package and you should have already received an email with the tracking number for your replacement package. Delicious!

The Toon sauce had a unique taste that’s quite different but delicious! I do like it very pica and have used it to cook the gluten free soy protein bits and shiitake mushroom to make a protein rich dish. Definitely would recommend! 👍
