What is toon sauce?
Toon sauce is a popular Chinese and Southeast Asian sauce made of leaves from Chinese Toon Trees (also known as Toona Sinensis, Chinese Mahogany, Chinese Cedar, and Beef and Onion Plant). The young, soft leaves from Chinese Toon Trees are used as vegetables/herbs and have a savory flavor reminiscent of beef and onions. With the addition of mushrooms, our Vegan Mushroom Toon Sauce brings an extra bold layer of umami to all of your dishes.

This stuff is AMAZING!! A little goes a long way. So flavorful. texture is on point.

Very flavorful and delicious. I usually put this on toast and top it off with sunny side up eggs with sprinkle of salt and pepper. It's a very satisfying flavor and meal.
I wanted to love this, but there was barely any flavor added when I put it in the dish. I kept thinking I needed more, so ended up putting about 3 tablespoons in a big pot and all it seemed to add was oil.
A great vegetarian stir-fry sauce. I like it better than the shiitake mushroom-based mock oyster sauce, not as salty and full of umami goodness.
